“Anshi Bala” will take part at the Samara International Children’s Film Festival
which will be held from April 21 to 26 in Samara and Samara Oblast in Russian Federation.
The film will be screened in the international competition programme along with children’s films made in Italy, Slovakia, Ukraine and Belarus. Films will be judged by children’s jury which will consist of represaentatives of 5 children and youth studios from Samara Oblast.
“Films for Children” International Film Festival was founded in 1996 with aim to familiarize the younger generation with the world children’s cinema, to bring up culture of cinema perception and to discover new achievements in children’s film genre.
It is organized by Samara regional branch of Russian Cinematographers' Union, “Volga-film” studio with the participation of Ministry of Culture of Russian Federation, Ministry of Culture of Samara Oblast, Ministry of Education and Science of Samara Oblast, Agency of sociocultural technologies, Theatre-center for young spectators “SamArt” and Italian Honorary Consulate in Samara Oblast. Russian cinematographer and documentary filmmaker Nina Shumkova serves as the president of the Festival.
“Anshi Bala” was previously awarded “Best Foreign Drama” award at the International Family IFF (USA); “Best Children’s Film” in the KinoMalyShok section at the Kinoshok-2012, Anapa; “Best children’s film” at the second Heart of Baikal international family and children’s film festival (Irkutsk). The film has also participated at the VII “Eurasia” IFF in the “Dynamic Kazakh Cinema” section and IX “Eurasia” IFF in the “Auteur cinema of Kazakhstan – the prize-winners of international film festivals” category.
