Days of Kazakh cinema which are held from 10 to 15 December in Astana became an annual present from “Kazakhfilm” studio for the citizens of capital. The event will mark the Kazakhstan's Independence Day.
The press conference was held on the first day of the event with the participation of president of JSC “Kazakhfilm” named after Shaken Aimanov Yermek Amanshayev, the head of the Film and Theatre Art Department under the Culture Committee of the Ministry of Culture and Information Kumis Seitova, actress Gulnara Dusmatova, writer of the opening film of the event “Anshy Bala” Smagul Elubay, actors Zhursin Yerman, Adil Akhmet, Ainur Niyazova, Ainara Rsdauletova, Dauren Sergazin, Zhanel Alikova and Sanurzhan Suleimenov.
Week of Kazakh cinema was organized by “Kazakhfilm” studio jointly with the Ministry of Culture and Information to mark the celebration of Kazakhstan's Independence Day.
Within one week guests and residents of Astana will be able to see the best feature and documentary films released this year by JSC “Kazakhfilm” named after S. Aimanov. Following films will have their premieres at the event: first Kazakh fantasy film “The Book of Legends: Mysterious Forest” by young director Akhat Ibrayev and also the first Kazakh full-length animated feature film “Yer-Tostik and Aidahar”. The “Week of Kazakh cinema's” programme also includes a screening of documentary films released in recent years and produced by JSC “Kazakhfilm” named after S. Aimanov.
These films tell about lives and works of outstanding Kazakhstani figures like Turar Ryskulov, Mazhit Begalin, Abish Kekilbayev, Asanali Ashimov and others.
The film “Anshy Bala” produced by JSC Kazakhfilm named after Shaken Aimanov opened the week of Kazakh cinema. The event was attended by film directors Yerlan Nurmukhambetov, Begars Elubay and actors Zhanel Alikova and Sanurzhan Suleimenov.
Film “Bright Future” closed the first day of the week of Kazakh cinema. Film director Yerlan Saginov along with actors Adil Akhmet, Ainara Rsdauletova represented the film. The second day despite the severe cold was attended by nearly a thousand people.
The premiere of the first Kazakh fantasy film “The Book of Legends: Mysterious Forest” by young director Akhat Ibrayev will be held today on December 12 in Astana.
