“Bauyr” will participate at the Göteborg International Film Festival

Film “Bauyr” directed by Serik Aprymov (JSC “Kazakhfilm” named after S.Aimanov) will take part in the Five Continents section of the 37th Göteborg International Film Festival which will be held from January 24 to February 3 in Sweden.
Göteborg International Film Festival is an annual film festival in Gothenburg, Sweden and the largest film event in Scandinavia. It was launched in 1979. Around 500 films from 76 countries will be screened at the festival this year. This Year’s Guest of Honor, Ralph Fiennes, will hold a Master Class following a special screening of his new film “The Invisible Woman”.
The world premiere of film “Bauyr” directed by Serik Aprymov (JSC “Kazakhfilm” named after S.Aimanov) was held in the Horizons section of 70th Venice Film Festival this year. Film was also shown in the international competition of the IX “Eurasia” IFF where it took two prizes (NETPAC Award and Best Director Award).
“Bauyr” will be screened at the Biopalatset movie theatre on January 25, 27 and 28.
“Student” by Darezhan Omirbayev also participated in Five Continents section of the Göteborg International Film Festival last year.
